I saw a post about Timberlake and they made sure to say that even if he plays A Lantern, it may not be Hal Jordan. Remember, kiddies, we have FIVE (5) mainstream Lanterns to pick from (Hal, Alan Scott, John Stewart, Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner). If I were the movie studio, you can bet for damn sure I'd be hedging my bets... (Oh, and I doubt RR will be in Green Lantern since it looks like they will go forward with a Deadpool movie)

Sorry Matt, looks like Deadpool.... is dead.. Source: Variety by: Dave Davis Bradley Cooper won't be fleeing the color yellow, and Justin Timberlake won't be taking it on down to Lanternville.
After a week of buzz, Ryan Reynolds has vanquished his competitors and won the seemingly coveted opportunity to wear the ring (and maybe tights) for GREEN LANTERN, according to Variety.
Reynolds completes a comic-character hat trick (after Hannibal King and Wade "Deadpool" Wilson) to play Hal Jordan, who gets conscripted into the Green Lantern Corps and is tasked with protecting the planet by fabricating emerald-colored objects with powerful finger jewelry.
Two-time Bond relauncher Martin Campbell (GOLDENEYE, CASINO ROYALE) is directing the Warner Bros. action/sci-fi flick about the DC Comics hero. Production is now expected to begin in January (the movie was initially planned for a December 2010 release). Where this leaves Reynolds' planned DEADPOOL movie (a possible conflict of interest) remains to be seen.

MAN! I can't believe it.
I still think he'd make a better Flash then a Green Lantern.

I agree that he would make an interesting Flash, but he might be able to pull this off, and if he does maybe, just maybe, he can fix what they did to Deadpool. He was surprisingly good in Smokin Aces where he was a more serious every-man character. Still, a small part of my hoped somehow David Boreanaz would have been considered for the role.

Ahh, David did a terrific voice job in New Frontier for Hal, but he's currently rumored to be tapped for Namor, the Sub-mariner.
