Hello all,
As was discussed, I have taken the opportunity and created a thread for us to discuss the character generation process.
We should first individually brain-storm and come up with concepts and then figure out whaat oles we want filled.
So.... Let the fun begin!!!!

I was thinking about it more last night, and I have a question about Duplicators:
If I can create multiple physical entities, what are the suplicates power levels? Are they all the level of the creator, or do they diminish the more you create?
If I have 15 level 11 duplicates, do we really need a "Powerhouse/brick"?

Basically, the duplicates that you create are copies of you MINUS the ability to duplicate.... Here is an example of a duplicator character.. "He's just one man. while I, am an ARMY! Everywhere Man PL: 7 (139) Abilities: (42) STR 18 DEX 14 CON 18 INT 22 WIS 16 CHA 14 Combat: (24) +6 init, +8/6 ATK, +8 DEF (+2 dodge, +3 flat-footed) +4 DMG (unarmed) Saves: (7) TOU +8/4 FORT +5 REF +5 WILL +5 Skills (15/60) bluff +6 computers +8 craft: electronics +8 knowledge: art +8 knowledge: physical sciences +8 knowledge: technology +8 notice +6 sense motive +4 Feats (19) assessment, attack focus melee 2, defensive roll 4, dodge focus 2, equipment 4, improved initiative, inventor, master plan, teamwork 3 Powers (32) Device: Quantex band +8 (32) - Duplication +7 (feats: sacrifice, progression 10, extra: horde +1, survival +1) [40] - AP: create object +7 (feats: innate, precise, subtle, extra: duration +1, flaw: source-copied object -1) {17} costs abilities 42 + combat 24 + saves 7 + skills 15/60 + feats 19 + powers 32 = 139 pts The latest addition to batman's rogue's gallery, Everywhere Man is more or less a textbook copier, with the added twist that he can dupe objects as well, allowing him to steal a priceless work of art and later return a flawless reproduction in order to take the heat off of himself. I gave EM survival on his duping to simulate that his copies can copy themselves, but mostly, that should just be a special effect of him going for a horde duping In essence, a duplicator is an army... If you took notice, this guy is nasty at PL 7 (139 pts)... Imagine what a PL 11 (165 pts) character could do

That's what I mean. If I took something like that (which really interests me), it would take the heat off of others to "have" to create a powerhouse/brick. Unless that's what they really want to do....
So, Matt, Brian? Sound good to you two?

I would say that the ability to generate a small (or large) army of heroes would be of great benefit. On the down-side, the duplicates won't be overly powerful and there might still be a need for the characters to have a Powerhouse character.

Are the new characters going to be of equal PL as the ones we have now?

Are the new characters going to be of equal PL as the ones we have now? Unless otherwise stated, I was going to start the characters at PL 11 (165 pts). This way, the secondaries do not suffer for being the seconds.

Not that I would do it (well, maybe)...but imagine the Duplicator is a cheerleader. She claps her hands and says "Ready? OK!" and an "army" of ass-kicking cheerleaders appear.
Oh, yeah. That's funny.

Mmm I wouldn't mind doing the powerhouse/brick thing for a change. I don't tend to play the front liners all that often and I think this dragon char will be an interesting change for me.

OK... so we have a duplicating cheerleader and a dragon-esque character.
I just have one favor... can we NOT call the cheerleader "Pep Squad"?
And NO!! Saving the cheerleader WON'T save the world!!!
