I have the Power of Faerun in my possession. Borders in A-town has over 8 copies in stock as of 11pm tonite. I got mine for $23.50-ish with my Borders Rewards coupon (25% off). I'll post opinions & thoughts as I read it over the weekend. ;D

You KNOW Phil's first title for this thread had to be "I have the Power!" (from He-Man, of course)

Okay, just got the book from Amazon and from a bit of skimming and reading of the opening passages, one thing becomes incredibly clear.
Dave must NEVER own this book.

Me and Phil were discussing this the other day and both have come to the same conclusion. The book's interesting, but either the marketing department lied or there was miscommunication somewhere. It's not quite the "Epic Level Faerun" book we were expecting but rather the "Faerunian Politics" book.
It's interesting because it gives depth to become a ruler (Political, Mercantile, Religious, etc) and the various plots and chicanery that go along with that. And it does have a CR 40 Red dragon in it, but it's definitely not as epic level as I thought it would be.

Me and Phil were discussing this the other day and both have come to the same conclusion. Sorry Droz, since "me" is an object personal pronoun it can not be used in a subject pronoun position. And according to etiquette you should never put yourself in front of the other subject in the sentence. The correct way would have been "Phil and I....." Now final copies of the essay are due Thursday and you must re-write the sentence correctly at least 5 times. Next week we'll conjegate verbs in at least the 15 major tenses. ;D

You're absolutely correct. I just like to use the Me first to bring attention to myself and away from the other person in the sentence.
