Mike was, as he put it, "an art monkey" at Marvel. But he was a damn good art monkey. He died, shockingly, on Sunday of massive heart failure at the incredibly young age of 44. Along with Marvel, he also worked on many other books, including Tellos and his artwork was always a joy for me to look at. He will be sorely missed. {EDIT} I stand corrected Phil. I pulled it from 'Ringo's DeviantArt site, not realizing it was his favorites section and not his actual art. Duly noted, and the art has been updated to a great pic of Peter Parker.

His artwork was always a treat to behold. I'll miss seeing it in the funnybooks. As an aside and not to disrespect the dead but the pic Droz posted was by J Scott Campbell not Mike Wieringo. The proof is on the signature under the Hulk's fist.
