Draven's Tomb
Jolie makes sure everyone is in tip-top shape as they make their way down the final hallway. Kadia doesn't notice any traps as they plunge towards a large ornate door. Thorgim has a strange feeling come over him, as his Essense leaves him. He voices this, and Jolie tries to cast Area Protection. It apparently does not work, as she befalls the same fate. To her, it feels as if her very soul has left her, and she now cannot cast spells. Channeling and Essense alike is sucked from the party members. They can do nothing but press forward, and pray Jolie can use her herbs effectively enough.
The large door is enriched with runes, wards put there by Jolie's father and Mormideon. A seal of metal and glass keeps the door closed, and Jolie's fathers seal adorns it. Jolie removes her Father's staff and taps the seal. It falls to the floor with a clang, and the doors open.
The room beyond shows nothing but a flat-topped glass pyramid with a prone body laying on top of it. Flags with the crest of Draven and Sauron adorn the coners, and an unseen breeze moves them. A feel of utter terror rushes among the party. Most brace against it, but Lalaina, Jolie and Rena flee from the room. Draven stands on top of the pyramid. He leaps down, thick plate armor glistening in the torch light. Sage rushes at him as a true warrior would. It is a hard swing, but it seems to not faze him in the slightest. Draven turns to Corion and seems to cast a spell. Corion's face turns white and takes a step back, but unleashes an impressive curse at Draven as he repels the spell. Thorgim and Kadia beat ineffectively on his thick armor. Draven swings mightily at Larek, and crushes his skull. Larek slumps, dead. Thorgim hits Draven, but also meets Draven's wrath. Draven hits Thorgim with a Warhammer like Thorgim has never seen. Thorgim's ribcage exits his back as his organs cook and his armor fuses together. Thorgim also falls, dead. Kadia grabs one of Thorgim's Warhammers, and a strange feeling comes over her, like she is holding something definitely not meant for her people, and throws it at Draven. The hammer breaks his ribs. She uses her other hand to throw another one, and it freezes both of Draven's hands, as well as breaks his leg. Sage swings and lops off Draven's hand as Draven is then engulfed in flame from Sage's special sword. Draven screams and turns to Corion again. Corion also screams and falls as blisters cover Corion's skin. Before Corion is consumed, however, Draven falls. It is done.
The three girls who ran from the room run all the way to the trap-laden hallway. Rena makes it through without tripping any, but Lalaina trips the wooden block trap. She is successful at leaping away from it, however, she leaps to the trap that has the 7 stone wheels. Caught, she is mashed and befalls the same fate as Kashak. Jolie was able to stop running before she entered the cursed hallway, and sees what befalls her new friend. She collects all the Spell Adders she can in her collection and preserves and lifekeeps Lalaina. Once they are done running and the spells done, they hear the final scream of Draven, and a black form rushes past them, out to the cemetary. Jolie preserves Larek and Thorgim as well. Kadia finds a load of Draven's treasure, but the Alliance wisely leaves it be. They close the door, and Jolie replaces the seal.
They encounter no problems on the way back home, and ignore the crowd as they make their way to Meg's once more. Meg conforts Jolie and reassures her that the "excommunication" curse will lift in a few days, and Jolie will have her powers back once more. Jolie is able to fix all of her friends with her skills, and once her powers return, she heals them more. They will need quite some time to rest, however, and recouperate.
Galvenius meets with the remains of the group (Sage, Kadia, Rena and Jolie) and reminds them that Small Marish is still a problem, as no one has come back from there once they go, nor has anyone come from there in a long time. Begging for a night of rest, the girls promise to take care of the small Hobbit town in the morning.
