The young king-to-be seems rapt with Semkirk's words, his eyes wide with a new discovery. The others listen as well, half-smiles tugging at the lips of the Steel Regent while Caladnei floats another decanter of fine wine to the table, offering the brash wizard another cup.
Lith stares in amazement at Semkirk, not quite knowing if what he's telling is what actually happened, a story he made up, or just how he perceives it happening...
Alusair turns to Hawke, "I heard that you recently joined the order of Sworn Slayers? And that your a follower of Kelemvor?"

Hawke bows his head...
"This is true. My order is sworn to the work of Kelemvor. His work is to finish the cycle of life. Undead creatures and their ilk are an abomination and blasphemy in the eyes of Kelemvor. Our last adventures showed me that there is indeed a call for my services. As a Sworn Slayer, I am now sworn to the elimination of these blasphemous creatures and those that create them."

"A noble pursuit, good monk. And, I take it from your talk that you will take Caladnei's advice and go to Shadowdale to speak to Elminster?"
Caladnei looks to Alusair, a grim look passing over her face, "I was going to bring this up later, but since we're discussing it now, finding Elminster will probably be much harder now. Our latest news from the region has the Twisted Tower being under attack and he's disappeared. We don't know if he's gone into hiding of if something else has happened."
She then turns her attention to the group, specifically Lith, "I believe the Regent would agree with me, but we'd like you to still go up to the Dale. We need someone to go up and there and find out more about what's going on and, hopefully, help the dalesfolk. We heard the Sharrans are part of the siege force, as well as the drow."
Alusair raises her eyebrow, "El's tower has been taken? This is much worse than before." She turns to the group as well, "We can get you horses to travel up there. We'd like to teleport you, but magic is apparently not working as well near the area. We think they are trying to alter the weave, the same as they were doing in the swamp. Can you be ready by morning?"

"Semkirks Enterprise's will be happy to investigate.." After the kick under the table and a glare at Racha, "For a modest fee of course oh and the chance to kill undead for Hawke here. Me, well, I'll just chew the bad things up and spit them back out. Oh and a word of warning. The next one of those inbreed, over dressed braying sheep make meantion of spies because of Lith they're going to need new skin. But, we of Semkirks Enterprise's will be more then willing to deal another blow to the backside of evil with the heavy boot of magical goodness and justice!"

Great goddess. These people are working me like a slave, Racha thinks. Ah well, if there is gold like there was from the dragon's den, then maybe it would be worth my while. Although some sort of "blinders" from Semkirk's awful teeth would be nice. *shudders*
Sure, I can come along. I mean, it isn't like I have anything going on here.
*rubs shin*
Besides, being in shadowy places feels like home.

Hawke considers the prospect of crushing the forces of the undead. A wide grin spreads across his face.
Only time will tell what Kalavor has in store for Hawke.

{OOC}
Ditto me - we just had one of our technology teachers quit (LAST NIGHT - no notice) so I am SWAMPED - even more so than before, AND my Department Chair is out sick, so I have been "in command", as it were.
Thank goodness the State puts limits on how many classes an instructor can have.

Dinner continues again with the main dish, roast rothé in a thick garlicky sauce, and better conversation now that the nobles have been excluded. There is some minor chit-chat at the table, when you suddenly notice that Lith has a look of horror on her face and she's frozen, glass of wine halfway to her mouth.
You turn to see what's she's staring at, but only notice a tall half-elven cleric talking with the guards at the door, repeatedly pointing at your table and Lith in particular. Several of the other nobles are turning to look at the new arrival as well, as the guards seem to be placating him, but not letting him into the room.
