iPod games just released with Square Enix a new game: Song Summoner. It's built as Final Fantasy tactics, but your characters are based off your music. Which, of course, leads to this:

This game is pretty damn cool for the iPod. If you have an iPod and $5, I recommend it fully! There's just one requirement to it working properly...

The trend seems to be merging all media into one. We have phones that can instant message, play videogames, watch TV and surf the internet... and the list goes on. Now the music we listen to can craft our games. I find it interesting to see where they will take things. Implanted cellphones that allow direct interface to the audio and optic nerves??? We already have a chip that can be implantes in the back of the eye which is showing great promise in potentially allowing blind people to see. Why not have a phone that is powered off of the bio-electric charge in the body or maybe a cardiac impeller that allows sub-vocalized commands to dial it. It could be linked directly into the audio nerve so that all conversations would be private. Another nano-wire could link it to the optic nerve allowing a sort of heads-up-display to pop up a picture of the person that is calling. Now you could have the ultimate H.E.S. It won't mean HOME Entertainment System.. but instead a HEAD Entertainment System. Just some ramblings....

FF13 for the 360? Yes and no. It looks like it will be the game, but not the same. Now this could mean more content, more downloadable stuff, the special edition that Japan always gets that we don't, or it had to be pared down for the 360 version which will contain multiple discs.
Although I must apologize to Microsoft for berating the 360 and the idea that they want it to be my everything machine. Turns out all three companies want their machines to be my everything machine. When they can cook dinner and do my dishes I will then totally concede. Overall though, I was dissapointed in both Microsoft and Nintendo's conferences. I am THRILLED that I get Animal Crossing for the Wii, but Sony impressed me more with the games it showed. If I can figure out how to teach literature, writing, and grammar using Little Big Planet levels, I am so there.
