Topps closing WizKids' doorsHeroclix, Horrorclix, Star Wars Pocket Model, Mechwarrior: Dark Age, Shadowrun Duels. All have stopped production immediately. Catalyst Games has been in contact with WizKids and have stated that it should not affect their Classic Battletech or Shadowrun lines. Any speculation on how the closing of what some consider the leaders of the collectible miniatures game will affect the industry as a whole?

Companies are closing so that I think that it is hard to determine how things will change.
I heard on the radio yesterday that the market is so unstable that experts are saying that for Christmas, people should not buy gift certificates from a store. That is bad!
As far as the market goes, I think that until the market (financial) improves, people are going to hold off on buying gaming stuff. The market will rebound... it always has.

It will cause "hoarding". people will put their stuff away, thinking "no way am I going to use it if I can't get another one".
