Hello All (again),
So, I'm moved up to Bethlehem now and looking for a game. I've got Warhammer Fantasy (my preference) and 40K although I am interested in Warmachine/Hordes.
I was thinking about buying stuff to make a table so getting a game in during the week is a more viable option. The Portal seems to have mostly weekend players.
Would anyone be interested (all two of you that seem to play) in getting a game in at the Portal or possibly Phamtom in the Attic?

Hello again...
I have looked at the Portal myself, and I played a game there one Saturday. I like it an dthe staff is cool.
I have a 3000 pt Necron Army and I am currently working on a Slaneesh Chaos army. (both for 40K)
I have a Vampire Counts army, nicknamed the "Bone Boyz". The entire army is skeletal.... no flesh in the entire thing.. well a little rotting flesh on the zombie dragon. ;D
I too have a table that I set up. I have played WARMACHINE and I have a sizeable collection of mini's.
My biggest problem is time. I have two children and my wife works nights. If you would like to "throw dice" then we may be able to schedule a game session.. I would like to play again. I have all the minis and they are just collecting dust right now.

And I have Lizardmen that I'm slowly working on. 40k as well. Currently my love is Hordes have a sizable Trollblood and Circle army. Can go to about 1k in both and that's going to be expanding as soon as some of the more fun Evolution models come out.

Speaking with Brian and Simon, I may not have any armies (or even a soldier), but I'm willing to play once in a while...

Speaking for Brian and myself... I feel pretty confident that we could field full armies for others in several different games.

For anybody that is interested...
Stumpfjord and I are meeting at 1200 hrs at the Portal this Sunday (09-SEPT-07) to throw some dice. My Necron force will be clashing against his Tau force....
Will the "Great Good" win out, or will it be a true Harvest?
Anybody interested in watching.... Come on down!!!

To Kas Stumpyfjord From El Tovas, Ethereal Caste
My Son, the Greater Good calls you forth to do battle with the destroyer of worlds. The Ethereal Caste grants you leave of our most powerful weapons to stop the incursions of this dread robotic force. Evoys to the (un-named) Necron Lord, offering him to join the Greater Good and the Tau Empire, have met with failure. It falls to you Commander Kas Stumpfjord to meet this threat and eliminate it.
Go forth with the blessings of the Ethereals and the truth in your heart that is the Greater Good.

To El Tovas, Ethereal Caste
This is Lord Karzath, I met the Forces of Stumpyfjord and I will return the harvested corpses to you for the "Greater Good". There souls shall feed our C'Tan Master's hunger.
The battle was a crushing defeat for the ill-prepared forces of the Tao. The forces of Karzath shall claim the planet and continue the Harvest. Medusa V was not ours, but we shall not be denied again!!
Prepare yourselves and pray to whatever god(s) you want... You too shall be harvested!!
<End Transmission>

Stumpyfjord and I spoke briefly about running a mini-league... Maybe a story campaign??? Using one of our houses as the meeting place..
Anybody interested?
I think that it would be fun to get together and throw dice. Of course, it all depends on what the interest level is.
ALSO.... The Portal is holding a ROGUE TRADER WH40K tourney on December 15th. Right now there they re saying that it would be a 1500-1800 pt army (not set yet). There is a $5 entrance fee but that money goes back into the prizes.
There are usually three (3) prizes given out.. 1) Best Army 2) Best Sportsmanship 3) Overall Winner
Brian,
You mentioned the "cheating" that goes on... His name wasn't "Stewey" was it? A rather rotund individual that was VERY full of himself??? He is a known cheater.

No. I know Stewy. I avoid him like the plague. It was some other guys there. Been awhile since I've gone to the Portal so don't know if they're still there or not. If you're looking for tournies though Fat Cats holds some pretty big ones. You've got to see the store. They have about 8-10 tables just for games and the 40k turn outs are massive. Well worth the trip.
