You make your way through the town, guided by the helpful citizens, to The Lonesome Tankard Inn and Tavern. Highly recommended by all of the townsfolk, it's apparent to see why. Easily one of the largest buildings in town, the common room looks to be able to fit at least a tenth of Eveninstar's entire population inside, and it large lawn shows much use as a town meeting place for when they need more room.
The townsfolk are a nice lot, offering tips and chuckling to each other about another group of heroes coming through. None of it is mean-spirited, however, more of a general attitude of having seen all of this before.
As you enter the tavern, you all make your way to the bar. Not seeing a barkeep, everyone looks around the interior of the tavern. Being midafternoon, the common room is pretty empty, except for a small group at the table nearest the bar. Attired similar to you, you notice a half-elf in studded leather, a half-orc in a battered breastplate and a human and dwarf in half-plate. Apparently they've been spending a bit of coin on the ale here since the half-orc, half-elf and human are boasting to each other while pointing at your group and laughing. The dwarf is attired in cleric's garb, and sighs heavily as the human, stands up, finishes his mug of ale, then swaggers over towards you.
Getting right up to Sebastian, who was unlucky in being nearest to the table, he slurs out "So, yoush think you can just horn in on our claim to illas-ellus-ill-" - the half-elf shouts out "Illustriousness!" to his compatriot - "-What he said! - just by strolling into town? We've put a lot of time and effort into plundering the Halls' secrets!"
You hear the half-orc chortle as the half-elf sings out "You tell `em!". Bolstered by his mates, the man's face turns a bright red as he nods and looks at Sebastian with vehemence, noticing the air of dignity about the man. "Well, I'm here to tell ya to go home. The Halls are ours..." With surprising quickness, he hauls back and throws a punch at Sebastian but slowed by his drink (Attack 11), his misses wildly. Before he's even done swinging, the rest of his party jumps from their table and gets ready to approach.
Roll for initiative. The starting locations of everybody is on the map below. The blue dots are the antagonistic party, while Sebastian is the yellow dot, Fozhug is the green dot, Tim is the red dot and the gray dots are the rest of your party. Please note, this is the local bar and you're newcomers. The other party is only going to use their fists, since bloodshed would likely wind up with a meeting in jail with the good Lord Winter.
